We are looking forward to reopening Wild Rose and Owl Cottage tomorrow as well as our CL site. The fields are full of young lambs at the moment as we are lambing and the sun is shining which is good for everyone. We still have some availability over the coming weeks and we would love to meet you when you come to visit. We are looking at setting up walking tours on the farm for our guests and also tree and hedge planting in the winter. Watch this space for more details. There is lots of bird life on the farm at the moment, hundreds of lapwings. It is great that they are nesting at the top of the farm again

We have been busy over the winter so far. All our cattle are in the new shed keeping out of the weather and off the fields. Also, the majority of our sheep are in sheds too at the moment. Our plan is to put them back out to grass at the beginning of April in time to start lambing, three weeks later. So there is lots of bedding of sheds with straw and feeding silage. We hope that many of our ewes are in lamb and we will find out the details in March when we scan. It is always a busy day and very tense until we get the numbers back at the end of the day. Stay safe everyone.

Well what a year. We have been locked down and reopened and locked down again and reopened again. We are extremely fortunate that we are farming which continues every day whether we are in lock down or not. The crops still need to be sown and the stock still needs to be fed. We live in a beautiful part of the world and we look forward to sharing it with you next year. We are just about to go into another lock down but will be taking bookings for next year (fully refundable). Lucy will keep the face book page up to date with the news on the farm too. Stay safe and well

Lots happening on the farm at the moment and it definitely feels that Spring has sprung. We have been ploughing fields, mending fences and digging out water courses.Last week we planted thousands of trees. When you holiday on the farm you will get chance to see these trees planted whilst out on your walk.
We are putting up new information boards around the farm and rerouting a couple of the walks. We also have some photos printed in the hide showing the badgers out at work on the farm.
Wild Rose has been decorated throughout over the winter and new curtains are on order for the kitchen and the bedrooms.
